Model Car Wreck
From the earliest days of railroading bridges like the Walthers Cornerstone Trestle with Deck Girder Bridge have been used to cross low spots, streams and other obstacles. In many cases a trestle was a cheaper, faster option for keeping construction moving. Trestles consist of a series of piers, called bents, which support the track. Wood was the favored building material until the 1940s, and many survive on branches and less busy lines to this day.
